Canadians in support for DAFC's Annual 5 KM Walk
To give a message to create awareness for Drug problem existing in every society first ever in the world "Drug Awareness Walk Across Canada"
During January 2006 some of the community volunteers and members felt for the need of educating youth and parents about the escalating trend in Substance abuse. A number of meetings, open forms and focus groups consultations were conducted for the suggestions & recommendations.After various ideas and strategies, it was decided to implement an action plan that would have sustainable effects on the Drugs Awareness and Prevention. During 2008, Drug Awareness Foundation Calgary (DAFC) was formed with its expedient mandate to educate youth and parents. DAFC launched a weekly radio talk show on June 2008.

Build a Foundation that will educate and support people so that they can live healthy, safe and drug and alcohol free life style.
Work together with community partners to prevent and reduce alcohol and drug related problems in Society.

Drug Awareness Walk Across Canada” started on April 1st, 2011 from St John NFLD to finish Mid- November in Victoria BC.
